Tag! You're it!
My main gal Michelle included me in on her game of tag, called meme. You can get to her blog by clicking on the link to her page on the right, over here ----------------------------------->
I'm not good at this whole blogging thing, so I don't know how to link pages, add pictures, basically do anything fun within a post.
But, this is what we are doing:
The rules for this meme are:
(1) Link to the person that tagged you.
(2) Post the rules in your blog.
(3) Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.
(4) Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs.
(5) Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.
Here we go:
1. According to my LMP (last menstrual period) I should be nine days further along in my pregnancy than I am. My original due date was June 3rd, now bumped back to June 12th.
2. It is my belief that Illinois, more specifically Chicago, has some of the worse drivers alive. On my recent trip there over the weekend--in a span of about seven minutes--we had to swerve out of people's way twice because they decided to switch lanes without checking to see if anyone was there.
3. To go along with #2, I get really frustrated when driving because of the stupid decisions others on the road make like driving in the left lane under the speed limit, going straight when in a "left turn only" lane, etc.
4. I didn't eat red meat for three years, but a couple months into my pregnancy I decided to eat it again for the protein and because it's more convenient for me. Now I'm addicted to burgers.
5. My feet are almost always swollen. Josh says that they look like little bricks. Sometime, they smell really bad, too. I never really had any issues with smelly feet before--that was my sister's problem.
6. I cried yesterday when Thomas J. died in My Girl.
Since I don't know anyone other than Mish on blogger, everyone I am tagging is going to be on MySpace. They are--Bret, Jenny Ann, Joshua (even though he probably wont do it), Caitlin, Colleen, and Megan.

Breakfast for Champions
Or maybe just pregnant women.
I was playing on my laptop when my tummy started rumbling away. I got up and had a bowl of Cheerios.
Still hungry, I rummaged through the refrigerator and decided on a dill pickle.
Not satisfied, I went to the fridge once more to get out leftover scallopped potatoes and green bean casserole, washed down with a glass of orange juice.
And all of it was de-licious.

Get to know me
For some reason, many professors believe it necessary to have the students introduce themselves to each other. It must be a very important part of education because I had to do this in all of my classes. Granted, I only had three classes so far, two of them were canceled due because the professor is out of town until next week.
I guess this is all of the information you need to get to know me.
Name: Kristal
Major/Year: English/Junior
Favorite Food: Pasta
Favorite Sports Activity: Circuit training or playing catch with the BF
Favorite Movie and Why: Say Anything... because John Cusack is absolutely sexy
Something Unique and Interesting About You: I am the only one in my immediate family that was born in the United States and I am more Filipino than Japanese, but I look more Japanese than Filipino
How can I get to know you a little better?

Summer?
No, this is not summer. I'm wasting the good weather and free time with working 40 hours a week and attending a summer class. I'm not complaining about the class. I enjoy it. But, I could take a break from everything else.
I remember...
being able to read a book in a single sitting
staying up late, not worrying about getting enough sleep for work
going swimming in friends' backyard pools and sipping on lemonade
sitting on the deck of my old cabin in Eagle River, or on the pier watching the boats go by
ice cream cones melting from the heat and licking it off of my hands
taking random pictures on the rocks down by the lake
going to the mall with a group of friends
road trips with friends and family
watching old movies on TCM until sunrise
the Renaissance Faire
That is what summer means to me. I want my summer back. But the only way to get that is to be an adoloscent again. Why is everyone so bent on growing up? I wouldn't mind being a child again.
